Indoor Golf Simulator, Restaurant and Bar to Open in Fountain Square | cultural | Cincinnati
National golf and indoor entertainment company Five Iron Golf is set to open in Fountain Square this year.
The company signed a lease at 80 W. Fifth St. in space formerly occupied by Macy’s, according to a statement from Cincinnati Center City Development Corp. (3CDC). This location is part of The Foundry, 3CDC’s $51 million mixed-use development in Fountain Square.
“Bringing Five Iron Golf to Cincinnati is a natural fit in a community so enriched by sport and culture,” Five Irons co-founder Nora Dunnan said in the release. “This prime location will provide convenient access for enthusiasts of all skill levels to enjoy unique golf experiences as well as multiple alternative entertainment options.”
The 13,000 square foot facility will house 13 golf simulators “with multiple high-speed cameras to capture every angle of the golf swing.” Equipment will be provided free to those who play, and guests can get custom club fittings at the Fitting Lab.
Other recreational games as well as a full bar and restaurant will be offered to players and non-golfers. Space will also be available for leagues, private lessons and clinics.
This will be New York-based Five Iron Golf’s third Midwest location; the others include Chicago and two locations in Michigan currently under construction.
The foundry already has several restaurants slated to open in the space, including French Brasserie Royce, which will be located in the former Tiffany’s, and Jeff Ruby’s Downtown Steakhouse.
3CDC says they expect Five Iron Golf to open in late 2022.
