Lycée du canton de Lyon cancels reunion dance after car with 2 guns is found in school parking lot – CBS Chicago
WESTERN SPRINGS, Illinois (CBS) – The Lyons Township High School prom was called off Saturday after guns were found in a car on the South Western Springs campus.
At 4:15 p.m., Western Springs Police were called in to a brawl that broke out after the Lyons Township-Proviso West football game, as well as a report of a weapon at the South Campus.

Western Springs Police found an empty parked car in the Lyon Township South Campus parking lot at 4900 S. Willow Springs Rd. In Western Springs and found two handguns under the driver and front passenger seats.

Police took two unarmed suspects into custody and towed the car away. No one was hurt.
While Western Springs Police do not believe there was a threat to the community, the South Lyons Township campus remained the site of an active investigation Saturday night. Thus, the canton of Lyon canceled the Homecoming ball, which was to take place at the South Campus.
