army: Operational preparation to face all eventualities forming part of the Army’s culture: General MM Naravane | India News
Addressing the 116th Annual Meeting of the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry on âResilient Indiaâ, General Naravane said: âMaintaining high levels of readiness and operational readiness to deal with all eventualities are part of the culture of the military⦠Covid-19 has underscored the timelessness of many fundamental principles that lay the foundation for resilient structures and processes. ”
“However, a challenge like the Covid-19 pandemic is unique and unprecedented. We must protect ourselves. Only then can we fulfill our duty to help others. It is not without recall safety rules on an airplane, where you are asked to put on your own oxygen mask first before attempting to help others. As a result, strict force preservation measures have been taken in the first days of the pandemic, even if there has been no dilution of our current operational commitments, âhe added.
Stating that the Indian military is committed to promoting the Indian defense industry, General Naravane expressed the need for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the country to reinvent themselves and engage in niche areas, to develop capabilities for precision parts and to offer innovative solutions in disruptive technologies.
He said: âIndian Army is fully engaged in promoting Indian defense industry … Our MSMEs need to reinvent themselves and engage in niche areas, develop capabilities for precision parts and offer innovative solutions in disruptive technologies.
The army chief claimed that the Indian army preserved the territorial integrity and sovereignty of India throughout the year.
âThe Army, Navy and Air Force have their own challenges due to our unique environment of contested challenges and the ongoing proxy warfare at J&K. The Indian Army protects territorial integrity and sovereignty of India throughout the year, âGeneral Naravane said.
